Day 3 on the Ghan – Start of day 3

24th August 2007 – Day 3 on the Ghan – Breakfast

I had a quick shave, followed by a shower (you haven’t showered until you have tried to shower on a moving train), and headed off for my 8:30 breakfast sitting.

Breakfast consisted of orange juice, cereal (Weetabix in my case), toast and marmalade, scrambled eggs and sausages, and tea. Again, all the food that was supposed to be hot was luke warm.

Breakfast on the Ghan – The dining car

During breakfast the scenery changed over to farmland. The train is now surrounded by low rolling hill and green fields. A very sharp contrast to the scene 24 hours earlier.
